Pumpkin Banana Biscuits

Our Westies adore pumpkin and bananas so we decided to try a new recipe which proved to be our latest family favorite!

Pumpkin is rich in Vitamin A which promotes healthy skin, coat and nails. It is also high in fiber which is easy to digest, and loaded with antioxidants for the maintenance of a strong immune system.

Bananas are an excellent source of Potassium, Magnesium, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin C which is essential for a healthy heart, metabolism, muscle and nervous system development.

A nice little treat, these make excellent gifts, that is, if your Westie will allow you to share.

Pumpkin Banana Biscuits

  • 1 cup of pumpkin puree (fresh or canned*)

  • 1 banana mashed

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon of honey

  • 3 cups of whole wheat flour

Either mix by hand or use a stand mixer until your dough forms a ball. If the dough remains sticky you can add some more flour until the consistency is easy to roll. Next dust your countertop with some flour, roll to desired thickness and cut to shape.

Bake at 350 °F for approximately 8-10 minutes or until starting to turn a golden brown color.

One batch will fill a standard size cookie jar.

*If using canned pumpkin ensure you select the pureed 100% pure pumpkin and not pie filling.
